The HISPAN AIRES course will take you through an imaginary journey of the wine routes, letting you know the three most important regions of wine production in Argentina. (The Northern Region, Central Region and Patagonia)
We will learn about wine production (white, red and blush), the most important grape varieties, and the effect of the “terroir” in each of the three regions. In every class (theory and practice) will enjoy a guided wine tasting.
Argentina is well known beacause of two icons: the Tango and the Wine. It is a wine bearing country, the 5th wine producer worldwide, and its vineyards are located along the Andean piedmont with altitude that ranges between 100 and 2,500 metres high over sea level.
Strengthen the language by tasting an Argentine wine, it´s a way of letting in the argentinean cuture and keeping in your mind and unforgettable memory.
Objectives and Methodology
Objectives
The main objective of this course is that foreign or local pupil learns and dicovers a high importance industry for the country. Which is the Viticulture.
Develop smart criteria to choose the right wine among a huge variety of options that suit the correct matching with different foods. These will be applicable to distinctive wine styles over the world.
There are no fixed rules. However there are criteria which must be based in the knowledge.
The second objective, is to develop organoleptic abilities, to reach a real understanding of the wine, by using the five senses, hearing, sight, touching, smell and taste.
The third objective is to know the grape varieties, difference between them, adaptation to regions, characteristic aromas and tastes.
Methodology The classes will be theorical and practical, because of in every one there will be wine tastings.
Beginning with a process of sensorial motivation through a personal practical experience.
By the end of the course a CD with the development of the course and a diploma will be hand in.
A professional of the winemaking world will be invited to improve classes so that pupils can get real experience of the industry protagonists.
